It’s Co-ops Fortnight, and this year Co-operatives UK are encouraging people to join a co-op. To mark the occasion, we’ve just made it easier to find out about opportunities to join Open Data Services. Sign up to our jobs newsletter, and we’ll keep you in the loop when we publish new roles.
This month we’ll be advertising a number of new analyst roles to help us work on our mission to make open data useful, usable and in-use. Later this year, we’ll also be looking for a project manager with skills in agile development to help us with the nuts and bolts of delivery work.
The analysts we’re hiring will join established teams working on data standards supporting the International Aid Transparency Initiative, Open Contracting, OpenOwnership and 360Giving — as well as some new and exciting areas where open data can make a difference. If you want to find out more about our co-operative and the work we do, have a read of our blog.
You’ll be joining a team of generalists, each with our own specific skills. We recognise there are many paths to developing the skill set — our backgrounds include physics, philosophy, psychology, youth work, software development, economics and history.
This is our first time hiring in over a year, and we’re wary that the world has changed — several times — since then. We want to expand and diversify who we talk to when we’re recruiting and ensure we use a fair hiring process. Last time we hired we got some good feedback on our process — but we’re always looking to improve.
